When you think about hypnosis, do you imagine yourself unknowingly dancing the ‘can-can’ or clucking like a chicken on demand when the hypnotist clicks [their] fingers? This type of hypnotherapy is known as stage hypnosis, and it’s different than clinical hypnotherapy.

Clinical hypnotherapy is a two-way professional partnership and process between the client and therapist. You cannot be hypnotized unless you choose to be. Once you make that choice, the therapist will make several positive suggestions based on your preferences, allowing you to enter into a pleasant relaxing trance-like state. Clinical hypnotherapy can help you find meaningful alternatives to how you presently think, feel or behave. It also supports you to be more accepting of yourself and of others, and it can be very useful in promoting personal development and unlocking authentic inner potential.
